The difficult 1930s is a time of robbers who knock over banks and other rich targets with alarming frequency. Wth? a thompson is a rifle. Dillinger: You can be a dead hero or a live coward. Taran Butler is a god. Can't believe this is the same guy that played Freddy Lounds in Manhunter. I have a rifle that was owned by Melvin Purvis. A 6.5 Carcano. He gave it to my father when he was a teenager.

I love this film. When the chips were down, what did Dillinger do, he forced those law dudes to put bullets in his back. Wimp. The BAR rifle, the best of that time. I love how he robs the bank then helps the woman at the end, thats kinda funny to me lol. Purvis: “Pretty Boy Floyd, you are under arrest!” Floyd: My name is Charles, Charles Floyd. Who are you?” Purvis: “Melvin Purvis, Bureau of Investigation! Wheres your friend Harry Campbell?” Floyd: “I believe you have killed you can rot in Hell!”.

The high framerate makes this feel like an onstage musical.

The Appointment With Destiny documentaries were excellent. These came out in the early 1970's I believe. Sorry if you hi-tech people can't appreciate it, but this was back in the 1970's. Its a 50 minute documentary and they can't cover everything about John Dillinger. Hardly covered his second gang at all. The FBI almost screwed up again when the theater manager called the cops on them.

This movie is an underrated triumph. All I want to know is what was going thru her head. Only an American would wanna gawk at a corpse ffs.
